Yes, you can absolutely choose to show a content block during a specific time period. This could be especially useful when offering seasonal sales or if you need to inform people of different opening hours.
To show a content block during a particular time period, you would need to:
- Add a content block using the WordPress block editor
- Add relevant information for new visitors
- Go to the right-hand side menu to access the block settings
- Locate the ‘Personalize’ menu
- Go to ‘RULES’ and select ‘Time is…’
- Select the time period you need
- Go to ‘THEN TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTION’ and set it to ‘Show block’
- Update or publish your web page
If you can’t see the time period required, you can create a new rule from within the main PersonalizeWP dashboard.
Simply go to Personalisation and click ‘Create rule’.
Start the process by giving your new rule a name, select ‘Time’ as the category, set the Conditions as ‘Visit time’ and then add in your chosen time period.
Once you’ve added the new rule, you can follow the above steps to use it when editing your WordPress website.
