PersonalizeWP prioritizes data privacy, providing you with complete control over how data is collected, processed and used on your WordPress site. This helps you to adhere to privacy regulations, while building trust with your audience.
You can choose your own data retention settings to align with your own individual privacy policy.
To adjust your data retention settings, simply go to your Personalize dashboard and navigate to Privacy/Data Retention OR you can select Privacy and Data within the left-hand side Personalize menu.
Under the Privacy tab, you will be able to see settings for the following:
Data Collection – you can toggle the ‘Always anonymise profiles’ option on or off.
Anonymous Profile retention period – here you have various options ranging from 1 day, all the way up to forever. This is how long your website will keep anonymous profile information stored on the back-end.
Known Profile retention period – here you will have the same options as above, this is how long known profiles will be stored.
Activity retention period – you also have the same dropdown options here, this is how long the activity entries will be stored on the back-end of your website.
Any information which is older than the set period will be permanently deleted from the database.
